Adventure Community Guidelines

Adventure provides a space where individuals can cultivate meaningful connections in a manner that is safe, inclusive, and marked by mutual respect. To nurture relationships that are both equitable and healthy, we hold all our members accountable for their interactions, both within our platform and beyond.

Our Community Guidelines serve as the cornerstone of member safety. They serve the essential purpose of delineating what content and behavior are considered unacceptable on our platform, as well as in offline interactions.

Guidelines for Profiles Minimum Age Requirement

To join Adventure, individuals must be at least 18 years old. Creating a profile that deliberately misrepresents one's age as under 18 is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to request identification to verify a member's age, and we will take measures to block access to the platform for those who are underage.  At Adventure, we encourage members to authentically represent themselves. This is why we mandate that at least two profile photos should exclusively depict the member and clearly show their entire face. 

We do not allow:

• Profile photos that have been heavily distorted or contain exaggerated or unnatural digital effects to the extent that the person's identity cannot be readily discerned.
• Any symbols, icons, frames, or stickers overlaid on profile photos that are not from Adventure.
• Memes or photos that primarily consist of text as a profile picture.
• Profile photos of solitary children.
• Profile photos featuring unclothed children. 
• Username Options. Adventure offers members the flexibility to use initials, abbreviations, contracted or shortened versions of their name, nicknames, full names, and middle names. While we do not require the use of legal names or full names, usernames should genuinely reflect the name used in everyday life. 

We do not permit:

• The use of words or phrases that contravene our Community Guidelines.
• Names of celebrities or fictional characters.
• Words or characters (apart from valid names) that include descriptive words, symbols (e.g., $, *, @,), emojis, numbers, or punctuation marks.

Content and Behavior Guidelines Prohibition of Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity

We strictly prohibit the inclusion of nude, sexually explicit, or sexually vulgar content in member profiles. Additionally, we do not permit any commercial exchange related to romantic or sexual activities, content, or services, including attempts to sell, advertise, or purchase adult sexual content. 

Prevention of Bullying and Abusive Conduct

Our community is designed to foster connections characterized by kindness. Thus, we do not tolerate content or behavior that causes individuals or groups to feel harassed, bullied, or targeted. This encompasses behaviors such as belittlement, insult, intimidation, unsolicited comments about someone's appearance, emotional abuse, blackmail, repeated unwanted contact, endorsement, encouragement, or praise of violent acts. 

Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse

Adventure maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual exploitation and abuse. We categorically disallow content that sexualizes or endangers both real and fictional children (e.g., anime, media, text, illustrations, or digital images). This encompasses any visual representations or discussions involving sexually explicit activities with a child. In the context of this policy, a child is defined as anyone under the age of 18. It is strictly prohibited to upload, store, produce, share, or encourage others to share child sexual abuse material, even if the intent is to express outrage or raise awareness about this issue. 

Commercial and Promotional Activity

Our platform does not serve as a marketplace, and therefore, we do not permit the use of Adventure for unsolicited commercial or promotional purposes. Prohibition of Controlled Goods and Substances. Members are forbidden from utilizing our platform to buy, sell, supply, distribute, or directly facilitate the acquisition, sale, supply, or distribution of illegal drugs and/or the misuse of controlled goods and substances. This encompasses e-cigarettes, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, as well as the misuse of legal substances like prescription drugs, tobacco, or alcohol. 

Exclusion of Dangerous Organizations and Individuals 

We do not allow the presence of organizations or individuals who endorse, glorify, condone, or are known to support a violent, dangerous, or terrorism-related mission on Adventure. 

Opposition to Identity-Based Hate

At Adventure, we are dedicated to nurturing a diverse and inclusive community. Therefore, we explicitly prohibit content or behavior that promotes or condones hate, dehumanization, degradation, or contempt directed at marginalized or minoritized communities based on the following protected attributes: race/ethnicity, national origin/nationality/immigration status, caste, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability or serious health condition, or religion/belief. 

Promotion of Authentic Profiles

Adventure places a premium on authenticity, and we expect all our members to accurately represent themselves on their profiles. Impersonation or misrepresentation is strictly forbidden on our platform. This includes creating online personas that do not reflect the true identity of the user (commonly known as catfishing) and making false statements about oneself, including but not limited to name, gender, age, and permanent location. 

Combatting Misinformation

We have a stringent policy against the sharing of demonstrably false or substantially misleading content that is likely to cause significant harm or negatively impact individual or public safety. This encompasses content that directly contradicts information and guidance provided by leading and reputable global health organizations and public health authorities, false or misleading information concerning civic processes, and dangerous and unproven conspiracy-type theories. 

Rejection of Physical and Sexual Violence

We do not tolerate any content, imagery, or behavior that involves or threatens credible acts of physical or sexual violence. This includes physical stalking, using our platform to assist, facilitate, or support exploitation or human trafficking, and any form of sexual assault, which we define as unwanted physical contact or attempted physical contact of a sexual nature. 

Prevention of Scams and Theft

Adventure strictly prohibits any activity aimed at scamming or stealing resources from members through fraudulent means or manipulation. This encompasses requesting or seeking financial support, deceiving members about financial intentions for personal gain, or feigning romantic intentions with the intent to defraud members of their financial or material resources. 

Zero Tolerance for Sexual Harassment

We do not tolerate sexual harassment in any form. Sexual harassment includes non-physical, unwanted, and unwelcome sexual behaviors between members. Examples of this behavior encompass cyberflashing (i.e., sharing unsolicited sexually explicit images), in-person indecent exposure, sharing or threatening to share sexual or intimate images without the consent of the person involved or depicted, sending unwanted sexual comments or images, and fetishization. 

Elimination of Spam

Adventure prohibits the dissemination of any form of unwanted or irrelevant content sent in bulk or at a high frequency. This includes sharing misleading or misdirecting links, creating an excessive number of accounts that disrupt other members, or maintaining multiple active profiles on our platform to engage in unwanted interactions. 

Prevention of Promotion of Suicide and Self-Injury

We are deeply concerned about the well-being of our members and acknowledge that some may grapple with mental health issues, self-injury, suicidal thoughts, substance use, or eating disorders. While we permit members to share their personal experiences related to these issues in a safe manner, we strictly prohibit any content that depicts, promotes, glorifies, or assists in activities that could lead to suicide, self-injury, disordered eating, or body image. 

Rejection of Violent and Graphic Content

Adventure does not allow violent, graphic, or gory content. This includes the inclusion of descriptions of violence in usernames or profile content, photos containing real or realistic-appearing blood, bodily fluids, or injury, or images depicting firearms of any kind (except when worn by uniformed members of law enforcement or military personnel). 

Prohibition of Platform Manipulation

Our primary focus is to cultivate a community grounded in genuine connections. Therefore, we strictly forbid any attempts to artificially influence connections, matching, conversations, or engagement through the use of automation or scripting.

Safety Reporting is a top priority at Adventure

We employ a combination of human moderators and automated systems to monitor and review Adventure accounts and interactions for content that may contravene our Community Guidelines, Terms and Conditions, or pose harm in any form.

Our members play a vital role in ensuring the safety of the Adventure community by reporting content or behavior that may violate our Community Guidelines. If you encounter any situation that makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, we strongly encourage you to unmatch or Block and report the member. 

However, it is important to consider that disagreeing with or disliking a member or their content does not necessarily warrant a report. We may take action against members found to be intentionally generating false or inappropriate reports against others, particularly based on their protected attributes. This includes instances where members repeatedly send false reports of misconduct or baselessly target transgender or nonbinary members solely due to their gender identity or expression.

Enforcement Philosophy All members are expected to adhere to the platform rules outlined and referenced in our Community Guidelines. If a member engages in behavior that runs counter to Adventure's Community Guidelines, and values, or in any way acts in a manner that we perceive as potentially harmful to Adventure or its members, we may undertake a range of actions with regard to their account. When determining the appropriate penalty for violations of our community guidelines, we take into account various factors.

For instance, we may:

• Remove the content in question.
• Issue a warning to the member.
• Ban the offending member from some or all of Adventure's applications.

In cases where necessary, we may also cooperate with law enforcement to provide assistance in potential criminal investigations related to member conduct.

Furthermore, it is important to note that your treatment of others outside of the Adventure app can also result in actions taken against your account. If we become aware of instances of harm involving members on dates, meetups with friends, via text messages or direct messaging platforms, or if we are informed about relevant alleged criminal or harmful conduct committed in your past or outside of the Adventure platform, we may take action as if these incidents occurred on our platform.
